🚲 Community Patrol Update – Wembley & Surrounding Areas 🚓 |
||
|
On Monday 27 April 2026, PCSO Baker was out on high‑visibility cycle patrols across Wembley, focusing on tackling anti‑social behaviour, crime prevention, and community reassurance.
📍 Chatsworth Avenue / Vivian Avenue While on patrol, PCSO Baker engaged with a male acting suspiciously in the Chatsworth Avenue area. Upon engagement, the male immediately made off on foot, running towards Tokyngton Ward. During the pursuit, the male discarded suspected drugs into a nearby garden before fleeing across fences along Vivian Avenue. Although the male managed to escape, the discarded drugs were successfully recovered and have been booked in for destruction.
✅ This swift action helps keep illegal substances off our streets and reinforces that suspicious behaviour will be challenged.
📍 Waverley Avenue Later, two males were spoken to after being found rowdy and street drinking, causing harassment, alarm, and distress to residents and members of the public. Both individuals were issued Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) warning notices and were moved on from the area to prevent further disturbances.
📍 High Road, Wembley PCSO Baker was flagged down by a concerned member of the public regarding an E‑bike being ridden dangerously, causing alarm and nearly knocking over a pedestrian. The rider was stopped and issued with a Section 59 warning notice. This warning remains valid for 12 months, meaning that any further similar behaviour could result in the seizure of the bike or vehicle used.
🚴♂️ Dangerous riding will not be tolerated, especially in busy areas used by pedestrians.
📍 King Edward Park While visiting the park, one male was issued an ASB warning notice after being found drinking alcohol in breach of the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) and behaving in a rowdy manner. This action was taken in consideration of the many children and families using the park nearby.
👨👩👧 Our parks should be safe and welcoming spaces for everyone.
🛍️ Business Engagement – Wembley High Road PCSO Baker also engaged with three local businesses on Wembley High Road that have recently suffered incidents of shoplifting. Crime prevention advice and reassurance were provided as part of ongoing efforts to support local traders.
👮♂️ We remain committed to keeping Wembley safe by carrying out high‑visibility patrols, responding to concerns from residents and businesses, and taking enforcement action where necessary. If you see suspicious behaviour or are affected by anti‑social behaviour: 📞 Report it via 101 🚨Emergency: 999 💻 Or use online reporting tools.
Thank you to everyone who continues to work with us to keep our community safe. 🤝
